Chicken Soup


Keeping tummy filled with nutritious chicken soup can never go wrong. 

It is a dish you can have round the year. It can keep you warm on chilly winter days. It can also keep you hydrated during summer. Weight watchers incorporate soup in their diet plans because it is a smart way to stay full keeping calories in check. Such soup can be offered to recuperating individuals for a boost of immunity and help them regain strength. To make this, you do not need a lot of chicken. Little amount of chicken is sufficient. So, when you are running low on your stock of chicken you can make this soup.


 Ingredients: (Serves 2)

  • Chicken-100 grams
  • Ginger garlic paste-1 teaspoon
  • Finely chopped vegetables (carrot, beans, baby-corn, scallions) and peas-1 cup
  • Black pepper & Oregano-1 pinch each for sprinkling
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Take the chicken in a sauce-pan. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt and water. Boil it. Give it some time to cool down. Now put aside the stock. Take the chicken and shred it into small pieces. Take one tea-spoon oil, finely chopped vegetables, garlic, ginger and sauté them. Add salt, coriander-cumin powder. The moment you see the vegetables are cooked, add the chicken and stock. Bring it to simmer. Wait for 3 minutes before taking it off the oven. Sprinkle oregano, black pepper and serve. Enjoy it with two slices of brown bread.
