Aam Panna | Roasted Raw Mango Drink


Thinking of ways to beat the heat? Roasted raw mango drink is what you need.

In my childhood days I have seen my grandmother preparing Aam Panna for the family. But what I did not know is that there is a good reason behind why we did so in the summer. It is not just the availability factor. The scorching heat, profuse sweating creates electrolyte imbalances in our body which in turn leads to dehydration. Raw mango refills the sodium chloride and iron levels of our body. This makes Aam Panna a perfect refreshment drink for summer. Another plus point of raw mango is that, it is known to boost our metabolism and aids in burning more calories. So, consuming it in the form of a drink is a brilliant way to reap the benefit of all the goodness it has.


Ingredients:
  • Raw Mango-1
  • Honey-2 Tablespoon
  • Roasted and grounded spices (includes coriander, fennel seed, jeera, pepper) for sprinkling
  • Pudina Powder (Optional)
  • Rock Salt to taste
Method:

Take the raw mango on a grilling basket and place it on the oven. Roast the raw mango till its skin turns black. Get rid of the charred skin and extract the pulp. Blend it in a mixer for a smooth paste. Take a glass and fill one third of the glass with pulp. Add honey, rock salt, roasted spices, pudina powder. Fill the glass with water. Stir well and enjoy.

Since I am on a weight loss journey, I prefer using honey. You can use any sugar alternative you have. In case you have no concern with sugar go ahead and use it.
