DIY Hair Oil | Home-made Oil for Healthy Hair


Oiling is an indispensable step of hair care and we want to pick the right one for our beautiful locks. When it comes to buying hair oil we get confused at times. So many brands are out there offering hair oil with natural ingredients promising to make hair healthier. We just go through the ingredients and put our trust in them. So, why not take control over the ingredients and make one on our own? 
I do not buy hair oil. My mother makes one for me. I have been religiously using it for the last few years and the results being satisfactory, I decided to share everything about my mother’s DIY hair oil. The best thing about this hair oil recipe is that it uses easy to grab inexpensive ingredients, involves simple preparation method and is not time consuming at all. The oil will be ready before you finish watching a Netflix series episode.


Ingredients like coconut oil, hibiscus, curry leaves, Neem, Kalonji, Fenugreek, Onion gives frizz free, shiny, soft, stronger hair. Treats dandriff, scalp problems. Also promoted hair growth and prevents hair loss, pre-mature greying of hair.

Ingredients:

Coconut oil: 500 ml
Fenugreek: 50 gms
Kalonji: 50 gms
Curry leaves: 20
Neem leaves: 20
Onion: 1 whole
Hibiscus: 6 

Method:

Take all the ingredients in a pan and bring it to boil. Once the colour of oil turns darker, take it off the stove and let it cool down. Strain and store it in a glass jar.

How to use:

Warm up the oil a little bit and then massage it into your scalp and apply it throughout the length focusing on the end tips. Use it twice a week for good results.

Each one of the ingredients used in the oil is loaded with goodness, making it a one-stop solution for several hair care concerns. My hair is shiner, less brittle, more nourished, and stronger than before.
