Tawa Chicken Recipe

You are craving for chicken but you want to make it healthy without compromising taste? Then this Tawa Chicken is one such dish that offers great taste with oil usage as low as one teaspoon. Apart from the marination, the cooking does not take up much time either. I find it to be a great way to consume chicken - easy and a quick to cook, healthy recipe. So, let us cook!

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • Chicken breast fillets - 150 grams
  • Tandoori Masala - 1 Teaspoon
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 Tablespoon
  • Black Pepper - According to preference
  • Lime Juice - 1 Teaspoon
  • Mustard Oil -1 Teaspoon

Method:

Take the chicken fillets, ginger-garlic paste, lime juice and tandoori masala in a bowl. Mix well and leave them to marinate for at least an hour. Sprinkle salt and black pepper on the chicken. Place your non-stick tawa on the oven. Add oil and the marinated chicken. Cover it with a lid. Cook each side of the chicken for 3 minutes on medium flame. Remove lid and keep cooking for few more minutes until the chicken turns brown. Turn off the flame and serve.  You may squeeze lime for a bit more of sourness. It pairs up well with Raita.
